#1515

A strange seed falls from space and is caught by a kid baseball player. It bursts open and covers him with roots, and he slinks off into the woods. Heather is called home by her parents, who haven't spoken to her since she eloped with Mac. Ramsey was the baseball team's coach, and many of the players have gone missing. Searching for them, Ramsey picks up another seed and is rooted, too. Heather's suit protects her, and she defends her parents' house against an attack by the tree-creatures. She burns away the surrounding bark and frees the humans within. But some seed pods still remain.
