Burger King - Kingly Meal (11/5/7)

After work, we were all hungry and looking for dinner when Tim suggested burgers and in the end, Burger King.  They tend to have decent food, so we all eventually agreed.  We decided to eat in and once we got the register, the girl who took our orders was nice and very friendly, striking up a conversation with us.

I decided to try some new things this night at BK and went with the new Home-style Bacon Cheeseburger with the Cheese Tots, Mozzarella Sticks (they were on special), and the Dutch Apple Pie.  First up was the Mozzarella Sticks.  They were small, but not bad for the price.  The cheese was decent as was the marinara sauce, so stage one was a success.  Next came the Cheese Tots.  These were basically fried macaroni and cheese balls.  Surprisingly, they were pretty good as well.  They were super hot, but they were nice and crunchy with a slightly spicy cheese.  I enjoyed them and they were also a good value for the price.  Next came the centerpiece of the meal, the Home-style Bacon Cheeseburger.  This burger consists of two patties of meat, two slices of what appeared to be American cheese, bacon, a creamy garlic sauce and buttered sourdough bread.  You could immediately smell the garlic on the burger and what smelled a little like Ranch dressing.  The burger was smushed and therefore small looking, but it ended up filling me up pretty well after the other food.  It was a little messy with the buttered bread, but it was a good different and I enjoyed the sauce. The final part of the meal was the Dutch apple pie.  This was probably my favorite of all the items.  It was soft, and gooey, and just plain good.

So, overall I was very pleased with my Burger King meal.  Everything that I ordered was good, I found a new burger and side that I like, and the pie was very good.  I would definitely go back for similar fare in the future.

Burger King - Pricey Chicken (10/21/7)

So, after washing my clothing today, I was a bit peckish and decided to try the new Italian Chicken Sandwich from Burger King.  I have always loved similar sandwiches and was looking forward to this one as well.  So, I got it to go and after putting away my clothes, sat down to give it a go.

I was immediately disappointed with the deal.  It cost over $4 just for the sandwich and when I opened the wrapper it wasn’t the nice 6 inch looking thing that they advertise on TV and in the store, it was more like 4 inches and smushed so that the sauce was all over the wrapper.  The chicken was thin and not filling either.  It was over as quickly as it had begun with me no happier for the affair.

Therefore, I would advise against ordering the Italian Chicken Sandwich from Burger King.
