DVD's

There were some films and series that had to be purchased, here they are for your viewing pleasure.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Sixth season was a bit of a different one.  This was the first time that one of Buffy's most trusted friends had gone evil... not bad, but evil and man was she cool.

This is one of my favorite shows, ever.  The West Wing is possibly the only show that I have ever been able to just sit down and watch, no matter what time, no matter where in the episode it is.  The show is always top quality stuff.

Southpark is another one of those great shows that I could sit down and watch an entire season of in one day and not feel too bad about it because of how funny it is.  Also, with the small amount of time it takes to create an episode, the creators can make entirely new episodes if they feel like it depending on what is going on in the world.
The Girl Next Door is a tale that I believe that all young men have dreamed of at some time or another.  Not only does it have one of the hottest young actresses in entertainment, but it has a quirky humor to it as well.

This is a film that I saw at my local Wal*Mart last week.  I saw the two most recent Michael Moore films and wrote a lengthy paper on him in college.  I have found out what a fraud he is and am glad that I am not the only one that has produced something of substance against him.  The good thing is that this appears not to be a hate piece, just an accurate accounting of what really is going on  and what the people in his movies really said. I have to admit that I know very little about this film, THX 1138 at the time.  However, it is one of the first things that George Lucas ever did in film, a project based off of his final film in film school.  I love to find out what directors did, their true passions before they hit it big.

Duel follows the similar theme to what I wrote above for THX, before.  This is a film that was one of the first things that Stephen Spielberg ever created in film.  It should be a blast.

This was one of the few things that I purchased at the film festival last month.  I saw this film and was blown away by how good it is.  It may be the best documentary I have ever seen and there is not even a listing for it on IMDB.  Luckily, they were selling copies of it on DVD along with a little book of superstitions made for kids outside of the film.  I scooped it up with the quickness. Aaaahhhh.  Good ole PRP or to the non rental store geeks, Previously Rented Product.  These are the films that others have rented and in order to make as much money from each film as possible, the rental stores allow you to buy them cheap because they have been viewed before.  On these, that doesn't really even matter, I may not watch either one of these again anyway.  They are just quirky little films that are now just another piece of my collection.  The films are 13 Going on 30 and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.

Now, here are a couple of new DVD's that I'm currently eyeing.
